Be Wise

Psalms 2

Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’”
10 Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
12  Kiss the Son, lest  He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

Generation after generation our world will only get worse if we keep on believing we can figure out our turmoil in the natural.  We pass thoughts and theories to each generation of children with no biblical roots and only leave them in dismay when they believe their thought was the next solution to change or peace.  Our only solution is God.  We can’t keep warring and fighting one another when God says we’re all His children.  So He must chastise us by our behavior, leaving us wondering, ‘why me?’  Our world is looking for peace, and coming up with all kinds of outlandish ways to achieve it.  God is the one who orchestrates peace in His kingdom.  So if we’re not looking to receive it from Him, our world will only continue spinning its wheels in hope of another man made solution.  God tells us in Jeremiah whoever puts their trust in man is cursed.  So think of how much trust we have put in man and how much trust we have put in God and ask ourselves why our world looks the way it does today.  God wants to see joy in our hearts and love in our actions for what Jesus Christ has done for us, Read Deuteronomy 28:47-48.  The signs are all around us, we are not to make money, jobs, cars, businesses, people or any other thing our Gods.  Nothing is to take our hearts and minds away from God and His Son.  The king has risen and is sitting at the right hand of God until He makes all His enemies His footstool.  Live, breath, love, and walk in the truth.  1 Corinthians 15: 58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”  Be wise.

Blessings to all as we let wisdom from God brings us peace,

Blessed

Psalms 1

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
    Planted by the rivers of water,
    That brings forth its fruit in its season,
    Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so,
But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Do you wonder why things are just not working out for you?  Have you become discouraged, daunted, and stagnated in your journey through our world?  Well it is because were trying to do everything our way, instead of God’s way.  God has predestined for us a lives that are to be filled with joy, love, peace, and wealth as we walk each day with Him.  We are not to interact with ungodly people, no matter how enticing they may be.
1 Corinthians 15: 33-34 “Do not be deceived: ‘Evil company corrupts good habits.’  Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God.  I speak this to your shame.”  God asks us to give up our worldly lives, to find our ordained life.  He says, whoever is ashamed of Him, He will also be ashamed of them, meaning our missions will not turn out as we hoped and planned.  He says, He is the vine and we are His branches, and without Him we can do nothing.  God is a God of justice and righteousness.  He says, if we say we fellowship with Him, but are not standing as He commands, we lie to ourselves and others.  The only way our bibles can come to life is if we meditate on His word, delight ourselves in His promises and encourage ourselves to pick up our crosses and launch out in faith.  God states, He has released us among snakes, scorpions, and vipers.  So if we are not trained in our word, we will not know how to love them nor interact with them, to move forward in our journey.  We don’t determine our seasons for harvest, God does.  He says, our steps have been ordered by the Lord, so how can a man know his way.  We walk in blindness each day unaware of what attack we may encounter.  However, if trained in the word of God we can know how to embrace the attack through love to receive our blessing.  Brothers and sisters are perishing today by lack of knowledge, mind, body and spirit.  Come to the throne of God all who are tired and dismayed and be blessed.

Blessings to all as we become blessed in God’s knowledge,

Let Everyone Say I Love You

Ephesians 4

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Our bible is to unite us as one in love.  (1 Timothy 1: 5) “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.”  We cannot do this on our own, if we could our whole world would walk in peace.  We are up against a mighty force, when we do the things we don’t want to do or say, and do, then the things we know we should be doing or saying, we don’t do (Romans 7:19).  So the word of God is our only solution.  Our calling is to walk in love and do everything in the spirit of love.  God commands all of His fruits and gifts are to be operating in our interaction between Him and ourselves in love.  Every ligament in our being, Father says, are to be oozing love to move Him on the scene.  A calling and a hope from the Heavens has been placed upon our lives, so hope from a cloud of witnesses and every other spirit God is in love with, all anticipate our winning this victory.  We must believe there’s a man greater than our world and His name is Jesus Christ, great enough to love us in every situation as He asks us to do with one another.  (Matthew 28: 18-20) “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”  Jesus blesses us royally when all of His commands, statues, and oracles are met and walked out in faith.  Christ came down and rose back into the Heavens so we could live in this kingdom in peace and love, giving glory and honor to the one who has set us free by love, Him.  We are to equip each other in the word of God.  We’re so far off the mark right now that every crafty, cunning, deceitful trickery thing that could be thought of is working in our spirits today.  Love is the command, and we are to train our spirits in it to receive the type of kingdom blessings we are praying and hoping for.  We are members of one another God’s word says, and we’re only using our gifts to edify self.  Let’s stop and pause, then tell someone today I love you.  2 Timothy 1: 13-14 “Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.  That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.”

Blessings always as we walk in the spirit of love,

Pride Can Kill

Psalms 49

Hear this, all peoples;
Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,
Both low and high,
Rich and poor together.
My mouth shall speak wisdom,
And the meditation of my heart shall give understanding.
I will incline my ear to a proverb;
I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.
Why should I fear in the days of evil,
When the iniquity at my heels surrounds me?
Those who trust in their wealth
And boast in the multitude of their riches,
None of them can by any means redeem his brother,
Nor give to God a ransom for him—
For the redemption of their souls is costly,
And it shall cease forever—
That he should continue to live eternally,
And not see the Pit.
10 For he sees wise men die;
Likewise the fool and the senseless person perish,
And leave their wealth to others.
11 Their inner thought is that their houses will last forever,
Their dwelling places to all generations;
They call their lands after their own names.
12 Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not remain;
He is like the beasts that perish.
13 This is the way of those who are foolish,
And of their posterity who approve their sayings. Selah
14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave;
Death shall feed on them;
The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning;
And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwelling.
15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave,
For He shall receive me. Selah
16 Do not be afraid when one becomes rich,
When the glory of his house is increased;
17 For when he dies he shall carry nothing away;
His glory shall not descend after him.
18 Though while he lives he blesses himself
(For men will praise you when you do well for yourself),
19 He shall go to the generation of his fathers;
They shall never see light.
20 A man who is in honor, yet does not understand,
Is like the beasts that perish.

I can only tell you rich man poor man that our God lives and breathes today.  He wishes that none should perish but all have everlasting life.  Our bible is not some fairy tale though it is a dream come true.  But you will never unlock this mystery to paradise until you turn from our worlds thinking and step into the light.  I grew up around middle and upper class people and my mother and I lived extravagantly.  But the bible played no part in our life, in spite of how good people thought she and I were, by the material assets we surrounded ourselves with.  I watched my mother’s pride in herself make a mockery of the bible and our lives with what little common sense she had but I still loved her.  Her actions sent me down roads I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.  Then at 31 years of age I had enough and asked the Lord into my life and to please give me my comfort and peace back.  And I would love Him and honor Him for the rest of my life.  People, only true love for God and wanting to please Him instead of ourselves will unlock the treasures, peace, health, and blessings into our lives.  This is unordinary supernatural powers we are dealing with here.  So God tells us in His word our best day can’t beat His worst.  No money, power, crying or praying that is not sincere will bring us this blessing today and life everlasting in Eternity.  Only true, rock solid, unending love for God and His son will open the heavens and rain down the blessings into our lives.  Hebrews 10: 26-31 says “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”  (Hebrews 12: 25-29) “See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, 26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” 27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.  28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire.”  God says those who will humble themselves He will exalt, but those who exalt themselves He must humble.  (Proverbs 16:18)  Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.  Don’t let your pride kill you.

Blessings to all as we lay down our pride and love the King,

World Peace

Acts 17: 1 - 31

Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.” And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas.
But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.” And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. So when they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go
10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men. 13 But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds. 14 Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go to the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there. 15 So those who conducted Paul brought him to Athens; and receiving a command for Silas and Timothy to come to him with all speed, they departed.
16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. 17 Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there. 18 Then certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, “What does this babbler want to say?”
Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,” because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection.
19 And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak? 20 For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.” 21 For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing.
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23 for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.

Paul had to reason with the Jews, God’s favorite people, people who are to be our leaders by example of the scriptures.  The bible is the only thing in our universe that can bring world peace.  Its commands, statutes and oracles if embraced, then walked out in faith and love will bring us this peace.  (Exodus 18: 19-23)  “Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. 20 And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. 21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 22 And let them judge the people at all times. Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for they will bear the burden with you. 23 If you do this thing, and God so commands you, then you will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.”  We cannot do this by annihilating another race or putting up borders to keep a culture out, when we all belong to God.  God speaks in His word that Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses all the way down to the stranger on the streets belong to Him.  And He has instilled gifts in us all to be able to help one another and to interact with each other as brothers and sisters.  We can make our lives simple.  All this anger, chaos, pride and arrogance to please the flesh must be killed daily in faith, love and belief to bring the blessings, our inheritance and the peace of God down on us.  (Romans 8: 12-17) “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”  God gave us a choice to choose whom we will serve.  And we can see, from our worlds situations and unhappiness, who some have chosen.  God says our idols are anything we put before Him, and He owns it all.  He asks us to not be worried about what we will wear or eat, but to internalize His word and all these things shall be added to us.  We are not to live idle and haphazardly in God’s kingdom.  This gives satan control over our minds and actions.  God commands that we talk about Him in the morning, noon, and night to draw Him closer to us.  (Psalms 1: 1-3)  “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”  Let’s prosper in world peace, world.

Blessings to all as we unite in world peace,

Liberty

Galatians 5

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law. You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11 And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased. 12 I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

We were set free when Christ died, took the keys from hell, and was raised by Father God into heaven.  And a few of our ancestors and some of us have stood fast in the liberty to remain free.  God does not want us bound by anyone, except Him.  No one has authority over us and our movements but God.  Though, so many are trying to control us that they can’t get their own salvation on track.  If we haven’t been properly trained by our parents in the word of God, then we are to come boldly to His throne asking for forgiveness and make the blessings happen.  By our faith and love for God can be the only way to produce them.  We are not to let anyone hinder us from this truth (1 Timothy 1: 3 – 5) says,  As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine, nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,”  Faith and sincere love must be operating in us at all times, no matter how bleak our situations may look.  God says they are going to persecute us before the blessing and when He has given us our inheritance.  (Mark 10: 29 – 30) “So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.
We have been called to be free and love in sincerity God and man. (Romans 13: 8)  “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”  Our actions must change in how we interact with one another.  We must come out of this give me, give me, give me attitude and work for Christ who wants to give us the world, through love.  In Luke 10:2 He says, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”  Our spirit and flesh are at war.  And unless we overpower our flesh with faith, love, and the word of God we will be useless to God and ourselves.  God says in Jeremiah 17: 9 – 10 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?  I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruits of his doings.”  Work the fruits of the spirit and free yourself in Liberty.

Blessings to all as we free ourselves in our Lord,

Be Faithful

2 Peter 1

Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14 knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.
16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

To those who have obtained like precious faith, Peter says in verse 1.  This means to give all of our worries and cares over to God, and trust as we walk in love, patience, humility, and faith, God will bring His promises to pass.  Peter says in verse 2, “grace and peace be multiplied to us in the knowledge of God who has called us by glory and virtue to give us exceedingly great and precious promises."  However, if we don’t steal away and build our minds and behaviors in the truth of God’s word, we will continue to see corruption and be a part of its satanic moves everywhere we go.  God says our spirits are willing, but our flesh is weak to its lust for what man offers us in our world, which doesn’t come close to God’s invitations.  So Peter tells us to add to our faith in verses 5 – 8 these wonderful traits that are to carry us through the journey to bring down God’s love on us like no other.  Because in verse 9 if we are lacking these fruits we are shortsighted and near blind by the truth of God’s word, and should not deceive ourselves and become angered when the blessings don’t show up.  God’s way of thinking and operating in our world is completely opposite in how the world thinks.  Peter also asks us to be diligent in making sure our call and election is perfect.  That means we are to be campaigning for God and His word, living, breathing, eating, sleeping, walking and talking it.  Then he says an entrance will be supplied to us abundantly in the Kingdom of God.  We will then be given access into doors God opens that no one can shut, and doors closed that no one can open, helping us on our path into life everlasting.  We are to establish ourselves in this truth without wavering to the left or right, but straight into kingdom blessings.  I made a conscience decision when picking up the Holy Bible that God was going to see me through to peace and blessings.  I refused to turn in circles, wondering what religion was best suited for me when God sent my father back in a vision at age sixteen and shielded me from many life threatening situations.  God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, including my Angels have made it quite clear they are here for me.  Now be faithful and show them you are there for them.

Blessings to all who show their faith in God,
