"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel."
There is no getting around the love God performed before the beginning of the world, that we all might be saved and have everlasting life. Also, Paul says in verse 8, "Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God." Though, we may suffer for our Lord, He also has the power to bring us out, and sit us in heavenly places right here on earth. We are to be so in tuned with God and His word, that our steps each day should be walking into life and life more abundantly. Peace ought to be consuming us and the light of His word comforting us. (Hebrews 2:10) "For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings." We are the captains of our salvation. It is up to us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, and let God mode us into holy vessels for Himself. This is God's party not ours to corrupt and destroy by our fleshly desires. (Proverbs 20:24) "A man’s steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his own way?" ( Jeremiah 29:11-13) "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." This is a journey of love and sacrifice for our Father and King. (Hebrews 10:32-36) "But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle with sufferings: 33 partly while you were made a spectacle both by reproaches and tribulations, and partly while you became companions of those who were so treated; 34 for you had compassion on me in my chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your goods, knowing that you have a better and an enduring possession for yourselves in heaven. 35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise." (Deuteronomy 29:11-13) "Therefore keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do." (2 Corinthians 1:7) "And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation." Verse 6 says, "Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Can you handle it?
(Deuteronomy 29:10,12-13) "All of you stand today before the Lord your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel, 12 that you may enter into covenant with the Lord your God, and into His oath, which the Lord your God makes with you today, 13 that He may establish you today as a people for Himself, and that He may be God to you, just as He has spoken to you, and just as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."
Blessings to all who embrace and can handle God's truth,
