A Friend

Proverbs 18:24

"A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

(Psalms 14:4) says,  "Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call on the Lord? There they are in great fear, For God is with the generation of the righteous. You shame the counsel of the poor, But the Lord is his refuge."  Are we truly good friends to one another?  Are we there for each other through the good times and bad?  I've come to learn, that if we're not seriously walking with God, implementing His fruits into our relationships.  We don't have true solid friendships that will stand.  I hate to be the barer of good news.  But God's statues and commands are for our own good and are to protect us.  These commands are to help our relationships stay on course and grow.  The people who I thought were my friends actually weren't.  Though, it took the bible to find them out.  (Job 12:2-4)  "“No doubt you are the people, And wisdom will die with you! But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Indeed, who does not know such things as these? “I am one mocked by his friends, Who called on God, and He answered him, The just and blameless who is ridiculed"
(1John 2:18-20  "Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things."  Our bibles are to open our eyes to satan's schemes and attacks on us.  This is why God tells us to come to the light.  We are to understand this dark world we live in and expose it.  God says His commandments are for our good.  That we might have life and life more abundantly.  (1John 2:15-17)  "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.   And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."  God says, the entire world lies under the sway of satan.  He asks, that we not worry about what we will wear or eat.  But obtain His word and all these things shall be added.  If we will keep our eyes on God's word as we work it.  We will see it manifest its truth all around us.  Because He sticks closer to us then a friend.

(Matthew 11:28-30)  " Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Blessings to all who make friends with Jesus,
