The Living God

Isaiah 46:1-2

"Bel bows down, Nebo stoops;
Their idols were on the beasts and on the cattle.
Your carriages were heavily loaded,
A burden to the weary beast.
They stoop, they bow down together;
They could not deliver the burden,
But have themselves gone into captivity."

Our hopes and dreams for material success will slow us down.  If we're not first seeking God first, then our inheritances.  He says, He gives us the power to gain wealth, not ourselves.  We also, can't covet the things we have or others have.  This removes our minds and thoughts off God's plan for our lives.  Then we perish for lack of knowledge.  Our ancestors here in these two verses, have put so much time and effort into getting material wealth.  That they, their animals, and their idols, all bowed down.  Unfortunately, not to the Living God.  God says, our self-seeking other things besides Him, will destroy us.  (Galatians 6:3-10)  "For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.   But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.  For each one shall bear his own load Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. (And let us not grow weary while doing good), for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose   heart.   Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."  (Matthew 6:31-33)  "Do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and (His righteousness), and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."  Trouble is all around us.  Minds, hearts, bodies, and spirits are broken.  Because we're seeking happiness and success, in all the wrong places.  While entertaining demons in the process.  Bow down to the Living God.

(Genesis 24:48)  "And I bowed my head and worshiped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, who had led me in the way of truth to take the daughter of my master’s brother for his son."

Blessings to all who find His truth and bow,
