Hebrews 4:11-13 continued
"Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
Our world is racing from here to there. Hoping to find a piece of mind in the end. I will tell you, if our peace, joy, and happiness, is not found in searching for God and finding Him. We will not have peace. God says, He is the vine and we are His braches, and without Him we can do nothing. He is our peace, our rest, our breath, our life. And all we do each day should be done to please Him. Verse 11 says, "Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience." We can't let our worlds drama distract us from finding God and His peace and rest. When we make a diligent effort to find God, is when He will reward us for it. He says draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you. If you take one step, I'll take two. God is Holy. And He says we are holy. It is up to us to believe this. Then step out in faith to conquer it. Yes we can deny our flesh, and control our tongues, if we really believe. (Psalms 37:7) "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass." However, as long as our eyes and focus is on what we can see. We will be unable to deny our flesh. So confusion will forever be present and self medicating will continue. In whatever capacity that goes against God. (Matthew 13:22-23) " Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Prove to our Lord that we want Him and we want change. God has a inheritance He wants to give us. Some 30, 60, even a 100 percent if we will obey. Become obedient children.
(Hebrews 5:8) "Though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. "
(Romans 6:16) " Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"
Blessings to all who obey God,
