Psalms 112
Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
2 His
descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established;
He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established;
He will not be afraid,
Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.
9 He has
dispersed abroad,
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted with honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.
He has given to the poor;
His righteousness endures forever;
His horn will be exalted with honor.
10 The wicked will see it and be grieved;
He will gnash his teeth and melt away;
The desire of the wicked shall perish.
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, verse 1 says. But ask yourself do your thoughts words and
actions make you repent before God, each day?
Do you delight yourself each morning that God opens your eyes, feeds, clothes,
and gives you a world to prosper in, through His word? Are you smiling and loving as you walk down the
street, because you know God is in your presence and completing His work in
you? We must take on the mind of Christ to
receive our blessings. Mingling with our
world on their terms, then praying to God, believing your blessing is on its
way is in vain. God has wealth and
riches He wants to give us. But if we’re
working our own missions speaking what we believe will bring it to pass and not
the word of God into our situation, we are living a lie. He says we must be upright to see the
light. We must have love and an honest
heart to witness His blessings. He says
His righteousness endures forever. So,
we are to jump in line with right hearts and our mustard seed of faith, then
watch the blessings manifest before our eyes.
We are to be gracious spirits always wanting to help the next man in
word or deed. We must guide our affairs
in holiness and right thinking, not being fools with the blessings God sends
our way. We’re to build character and
integrity in our spirits trusting in the Lord that His blessings will
come. We must search the bible
diligently in order to learn and know how to avoid satan’s traps. No one will really have our backs in this
fight for our freedom. Christ says in
John 15: 18-22 “If the
world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love
its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the
world, therefore the world hates you.20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant
is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also
persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My
name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would
have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. So if you’re not trying to free your mind,
heart and soul to God, look up, He’s there.
Bless us Lord God as we look up to you for our
freedom,
