John 15: 1-17
“I am the true vine, and My Father
is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear
fruit He takes away and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it
may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the
word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine,
neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides
in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If
anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and
they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If
you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and
it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified,
that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My
love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My
love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain
in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My
commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater
love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 14 You
are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15 No longer
do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I
have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose
you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your
fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give
you. 17 These things I command you, that you love one another
Why do we send ourselves through
unnecessary changes when we don’t have too.
We’re hurt, confused, angered, and lonely inside. We’ve become skeptical of people and even life
around us. Why? Because we refuse to humble ourselves to God
who rules and owns it all. Our hairs are
turning grey or even falling out in search of everything but God. We’re aging and withering away right before
our family’s eyes. This is all happening
because God’s word is true and will do all it says it will do with or without us
as we perish from a life that was meant to bless us. Royalty has been blown into our beings, and
we are using it for our own good. So, life
is not turning out as we had planned, and it never will unless we connect
ourselves back to the vine, our God.
Lives have been ordained to us that we might fulfill its calling, a
calling that involves love, joy, happiness, thankfulness and peace for all. We are to be growing and glowing each day as
we willing seek, search, and find our Father God. Words from our caring hearts are to be flying
to the heavens to rain down the blessings that God so wants to see in our
lives. But this can’t be done when He
knows where our hearts truly are.
(Jeremiah 17:10) “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to
reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds
deserve. (Galatians 6:7-10) Do
not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also
reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap
corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting
life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due
season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as
we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the
household of faith. God says in Romans 3:4 Let every man be a liar and His word
be true, so that we might be proved right before man. True happiness comes when we are loving the
Lord and know He’s loving us. So He asks
us to love one another in a love that’s sincere and kind. The commandment is love if you want to have
the true God in your life. (John 14:
34-35) “A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another, as I loved you, that you also love one another. By
this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one
another.”
Let love take us into the heavens
where the true God resides and blesses,
