Walk In The Light

1 John 1

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

We must embrace this truth in verses 1-4.  Nothing else in our world can explain life any better than our Holy Bible.  Jesus Christ has come, was touched, seen, and has been declared.  True life awaits us.  God rules this world and His criteria for us to earn our inheritance is that we become holy, for He is holy.  Our God is pure, clean, honest, and loving.  We have been made in His image, so we must become holy as well.  This holiness is to be our light and open up the door for Him to fellowship with us.  God has a mission that supersedes our missions, and He asks us to be courageous.  (Joshua 1:7) "only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee:  turn not from it to the right hand or to the left hand, that thou may prosper wherever thou goest."  This is why God asks us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling to receive the promises He made to our forefathers, to give us an inheritance and life eternal.  By comparison, as it is hard for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, God compares to a rich man trying to get into heaven, then it is just as hard for a mere man to get into heaven.  Since I haven't seen any men walking through the eye of a needle lately.  We must humble ourselves, break our spirits down.  Be flexible with one another in our speech and actions.   God asks that our spirits project the fruits of His character.  (Philippians 2:3-4) "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.  Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of  others."  God says He is our father and we are brothers and sisters, His children.  Our Big Brother and King Jesus Christ suffered for us that we could all come to Father God and receive everlasting life.  God was not happy about sending His only Son in to battle for people made from dust.  So it says in 1 Peter 4:1 "Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God."  Enjoy the beautiful journey of finding God and walk in the light.

Blessings to all as we denounce darkness and walk into the light,
