Grow

Ephesians 4:7-13

"But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:
“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

We've been placed here on earth to build God's Kingdom in holiness.  Verse 8 says, Therefore He says: When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.  All power has been taken away from satan, though, we still give him authority in our lives to destroy it.  Verse 10 says, "He who descended is also the One who ascended far above the heavens, that He might fill all things."  The word said, that He might.  It is up to us to learn the word of God, then execute its blessings here on earth, that we may have peace.  Jesus Christ is sitting far above the heavens, to help us help Him fill all things.  Verse 11 says, And He Himself gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.  This world is all about Jesus Christ and God, but, we tend to believe it's all about us.  We're using our looks, bodies, and sinful thoughts to get our way, and Jesus Christ has already used His to save us.  (2Corinthians 5:21)  " For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."  We now belong to Him and must become slaves of righteousness.  Verse 13 says, " till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."  Grow.

(Colossians 1:27-28)  " To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus."

Blessings all as we grow together in the perfectness of Jesus Christ,
