“Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.”
12 And they said, “That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.”
13 Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Ask now among the Gentiles,
Who has heard such things?
The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.
14 Will a man leave the snow water of Lebanon,
Which comes from the rock of the field?
Will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters?
15 “Because My people have forgotten Me,
They have burned incense to worthless idols.
And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways,
From the ancient paths,
To walk in pathways and not on a highway,
16 To make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing;
Everyone who passes by it will be astonished
And shake his head.
17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy;
I will show them the back and not the face
In the day of their calamity.”

19 Give heed to me, O Lord,
And listen to the voice of those who contend with me!
20 Shall evil be repaid for good?
For they have dug a pit for my life.
Remember that I stood before You
To speak good for them,
To turn away Your wrath from them.
21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine,
And pour out their blood
By the force of the sword;
Let their wives become widows
And bereaved of their children.
Let their men be put to death,
Their young men be slain
By the sword in battle.
22 Let a cry be heard from their houses,
When You bring a troop suddenly upon them;
For they have dug a pit to take me,
And hidden snares for my feet.
23 Yet, Lord, You know all their counsel
Which is against me, to slay me.
Provide no atonement for their iniquity,
Nor blot out their sin from Your sight;
But let them be overthrown before You.
Deal thus with them
In the time of Your anger.
And listen to the voice of those who contend with me!

God's favorite people and our leaders did a very bad thing, when asked to give up their idols and turn from their wicked ways and didn't. If this doesn't prove to us that our world lies under the sway of satan, then what would? Our words and actions determine our future through the eyes of God. He also states in (Exodus 20:5-6) For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." Jeremiah the prophet, after learning of the plots and schemes against his life. Spoke words to God laying down judgment and action to take his people out. We must understand that by keeping our focus on the world, we will also experience these attacks from God if not biblically trained in how to intercept them even stop them. God's thoughts and ways are extremely higher than ours. He asks, that righteousness and justice be administered into our lands. He also tells, that the Spirit inside of us will join forces with us to help in achieving these commands. God speaks in verse 14, will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters? We cannot believe that God will interact with our selfish, demanding ways, when He commands ways that we must embrace. God is love, sincere love. He also instructs that we represent Him in this way. We are to be exchanging loving thoughts and actions with one another in all we do. God says in verse 15, "they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways, from the ancient paths, to walk in pathways and not on a highway." We've let satan design our minds, actions, and world. So we now beat our own paths to and fro in confusion, not observing the ancient highways some of our ancestors took to be in God's company and to change His world. Our world is in chaos, and all havoc has broken loose from our White House on down. It's time for change.
(2 Corinthians 5:4-5) For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
Blessings to all as we let God make that change,
