Romans 13:1-8
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
We're either in a win win situation with God, or a loose loose. There is no in between. We must choose whom we will serve. It is either God or Satan, there's no middle ground. God says in verse 1 all authority has been appointed by Him. He goes on to say, if we're not adhering to the laws down here on earth, we are disobeying His ordinances. No matter how corrupt our government institutions and leading offices may be, there is no excuse for us to join in the mayhem. We answer to God and God only. As we can see, God intended for all laws to be governed by biblical standards. By our bibles being taken out of government, schools, and so forth, we stand here today separated from one another. "Owe no one anything but to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law," verse 8 states. We can also be sure that love played no part in the matter when the bible was excluded from most our world's establishments, and that our flesh was the only thing being pleased when this horrific compromise took place. God wants us to spend eternity with Him. However, until we become uncompromising, warding off things as if they were just accidents and not God's wrath on us, we will continue to play the fool and fool with each others state of mind. (Proverbs 22:6) "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Stand on God's laws.
Blessings to all as we stand on the laws of God,
