Return Children To God

Psalms 90

 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
You turn man to destruction,
And say, “Return, O children of men.”
For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it is past,
And like a watch in the night.
You carry them away like a flood;
They are like a sleep.
In the morning they are like grass which grows up:
In the morning it flourishes and grows up;
In the evening it is cut down and withers.
For we have been consumed by Your anger,
And by Your wrath we are terrified.
You have set our iniquities before You,
Our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.
For all our days have passed away in Your wrath;
We finish our years like a sigh.
10 The days of our lives are seventy years;
And if by reason of strength they are eighty years,
Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow;
For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knows the power of Your anger?
For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord!
How long?
And have compassion on Your servants.
14 Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy,
That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!
15 Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us,
The years in which we have seen evil.
16 Let Your work appear to Your servants,
And Your glory to their children.
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands.

God's word is good yesterday, today, and forever.  He's magnificent and all who our burden down with fears and troubles, He says, come to Me and I will give you rest.  God has made a promise to His people and if we will call Him on that promise, He will surely deliver us. God runs this world.  There's only one God who can save us from the madness down here on this earth and His name is I Am.  However, love must be our focus.  (1 John 4: 7-11)  "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another."  We cannot draw near to God or receive our inheritance if true love is not being extended to Him or our brothers and sisters.  ( Luke 10:27) "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself."  God does not operate in any other thing but love.  He will even kill those in a slow death if the spirit of love is not working in that person.  Yes, God is love and He will even kill for it.  It is so heartbreaking to see us moving among our world today totally putting our trust in man.  God is here among us if we'll believe, ready to wipe every tear and sorrow away that consumes us.  Our lands, our hearts, and our minds have become desolate today.  God's anger has consumed us and still we turn a blind eye to His truth, looking for man to save us.  God states, whoever puts their trust in man is cursed.  God wants to be our all in all, the apple of our eyes. Though, until we take our eyes off of this world and direct our prayers and love to the heavens, He will continue to be the consuming God who leaves our hearts and minds in total disbelief.  Return children to God.

( Psalms 112:1-4)
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments.
His descendants will be mighty on earth;
The generation of the upright will be blessed.
Wealth and riches will be in his house,
And his righteousness endures forever.
Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness;
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Blessings to all who return to God with love from a pure heart,

Why Mom

Proverbs 22:22-25

Do not rob the poor because he is poor,
Nor oppress the afflicted at the gate;
23 For the Lord will plead their cause,
And plunder the soul of those who plunder them.
24 Make no friendship with an angry man,
And with a furious man do not go,
25 Lest you learn his ways
And set a snare for your soul.

I had everything growing up as a child and I knew I was blessed however, I still wanted more.  We were that family my mother and I, living way beyond our means, with no knowledge in how to obtain more.   I did know my mother had 200,000 dollars put away that I tried eagerly to get her to invest.  But she wouldn't while a 100,000 of it was mine left to me by my deceased father.  So when my mother knocked on my bedroom door, I was 17 at the time, she announced that we were broke to my dismay.  Thirty years later I found out that was a lie.  During those thirty years as I tried to get the money back for her and I, I saw things in her character that led me to question if she or anyone I knew even loved me?  June 22, 1995, after witnessing more hate than my heart could take, I gave myself to our God.  I figured He couldn't treat me as bad as what I was seeing in my family and peers, and I needed a friend, not to mention a father since I'd lost mine at age 16.  So came the part where I had to humble myself if I were ever going to make God manifest Himself before me.  My pride was enormous, but my love for others was just as extreme and I wanted to keep that.  Diving into my bible on my then third prison incarceration I saw where God said in the Psalms that "He would be with the poor and needy," (Psalms 86:1-2) "Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me; For I am poor and needy.
Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; Save Your servant who trusts in You!"
so I placed myself in that category since none of the money my mother had was obtained by either of us.  Then I begin to see in God's word how He felt about others oppressing us and people gaining money in unlawful ways.  My mother and other family members of mine were being ripped apart by the bibles commands and standards.  I began to be intrigued in the protocol of God's word and became less interested in my mother's and others persecution.  God delivered me from those who I tried to love, even my mother who's now deceased from all her deadly actions upon me and others.  Why Mom?

John 4:48-54
"Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
49 The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
50 Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. 51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” 53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
54 This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee."

Blessings to all who treat others in the love of God,

Talk Truth

Proverbs 22:17-21

Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,
And apply your heart to my knowledge;
18 For it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you;
Let them all be fixed upon your lips,
19 So that your trust may be in the Lord;
I have instructed you today, even you.
20 Have I not written to you excellent things
Of counsels and knowledge,
21 That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth,
That you may answer words of truth
To those who send to you?

Apply our hearts to God's knowledge verse 17 says.  God can only write His words upon the tablet of our hearts, when we continue to stay in His word.  He asks, that we talk about Him in the morning, noon, and night.  That we mediate on His words and put them as signs on our doorpost.  As we can see today this is rarely being done.  Our conversations are on world events, problems in our homes, and delighting ourselves in fleshly desires.  satan is really doing an number on our world.  He has twisted us, confused us, and belittled us, in the sight of God.  Pureness, honesty, and sincere love has taken a back seat in our world today, the fight for power, control, and riches have become the norm.  Verses 18-19 says, It is a pleasant thing if we will keep God's words fixed upon our lips, so that our trust maybe in our Lord.  So we see why satan has gain the advantage over us.  We're not using our sword to fight the trials of life and come out the winner.  We find it hard to grace our lips with true words of kindness, to keep the enemy at bay.  (Romans 13:8 says,) "Owe no one anything but to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law."  This is what God commands to be operating in His world.  The enemy is full of anger and deceit, walking around as a roaring lion seeking whom he may destroy.  God says, He has released us among snakes, scorpions, and vipers.  These are the spirits that move around us and latch on to us, if were not equipped in the word of God.  We are in God's Kingdom, a Kingdom that is designed to bless us, no matter how hard the enemy comes against us.  However, if we don't draw near to God, so He can draw near to us, we will be defeated in all our man-made attempts to conquer peace.  Verses 20-21 says,  "Have I not written to you excellent things Of counsels and knowledge, 21 That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth, That you may answer words of truth to those who send to you?"  Talk truth.
(John 4:23-24)  " But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Blessings to all as we talk truth to one another through God's word,

Train Up Your Child

Proverbs 22:15
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;
The rod of correction will drive it far from him.

God says, "Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him."  This is why we see children, even toddlers getting in to all kinds of mischief.  They are curious, and everything interests them. This is what makes our bible work and succeed when we train a child up in God's ways and chastise them in the admonitions of our Lord. Their minds are free, ready to be molded and strengthened in whatever we feed them.  Their innocent and naïve, minds that have been ushered in by God to be built and established on His word.

( Psalms 127:3-5)  "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate."

(Ephesians 6:1-4)  Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.” And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

But when relationships and one night stands that haven't been ordained by God, and most of our relationships today have not been, we mold and train our children to what we feel best for them. Some not being trained at all but to stay out of the parents way.  When we let our world invent "time outs" for our children, this removed all righteous discipline away from the parents and God.  This giving the child full reign over the parents today.  So chaos is now in our midst.  God rules and God has a plan for all His children.  But if parents today don't pick up their bible and become adults again in their own homes, madness will continue from generation to generation.  (1 Corinthians 13:11) "When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things."   Train up your child.

(Proverbs 22:6) "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Blessings upon blessings to all who train their children up in the love and admonition of God,

Become Pure

Proverbs 22:11-12

He who loves purity of heart
And has grace on his lips,
The king will be his friend.
12 The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge,
But He overthrows the words of the faithless.

When will the day come that all will know that our words and heart determines our future in the sight of God?  He who loves purity of heart and grace on another's lips will draw the Lord close to us verse 11 says.  We ourselves must become pure in heart and word.  We should only want to entertain those who do likewise.  God is full of righteousness and justice so we must be also.  All the prison time I did and all the conversations I heard while there and on our streets led me to believe that life was definitely in the power of the tongue.  I had not yet given myself to our Lord, but I knew I didn't want to dream with people who had no goals, and no outlook on life to make our situations better.  Brokenness was all around me.  I concluded this from reading my bible and wanting to establish a true relationship with God.  I also knew that if I were ever going to interact with God, I'd have to clean up my ways and my conversations with others.  We know right from wrong.  I believe the Holy Spirit inside of us confirms that, weather our parents or peers ever did.  I also told myself after dropping out of high school, with very little education, I would have to be the best friend to others, if I were ever going to have a lasting friendship that could grow.  My heart has been completely broken by others who I tried to build honest friendships with.  I've witnessed every type of lowdown thing the mind can conceive.  So I determined if I didn't draw closer to God I would never have a true friend.  I've watched God do amazing things as He taught me to love these people away from me.  Our hearts must become pure and our words sincere before God will ever take a step in saving us from ourselves.  Become pure.

(Matthew 5:8) "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God"

Blessings to all as we build true and lasting relationships with God and man,

Stand On God's Laws

Romans 13:1-8

 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

We're either in a win win situation with God, or a loose loose.  There is no in between.  We must choose whom we will serve.  It is either God or Satan, there's no middle ground.  God says in verse 1 all authority has been appointed by Him.  He goes on to say, if we're not adhering to the laws down here on earth, we are disobeying His ordinances.  No matter how corrupt our government institutions and leading offices may be, there is no excuse for us to join in the mayhem.  We answer to God and God only.  As we can see, God intended for all laws to be governed by biblical standards.  By our bibles being taken out of government, schools, and so forth, we stand here today separated from one another.  "Owe no one anything but to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law,"  verse 8 states.  We can also be sure that love played no part in the matter when the bible was excluded from most our world's establishments, and that our flesh was the only thing being pleased when this horrific compromise took place.  God wants us to spend eternity with Him.  However, until we become uncompromising, warding off things as if they were just accidents and not God's wrath on us, we will continue to play the fool and fool with each others state of mind.  (Proverbs 22:6) "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."  Stand on God's laws.

Blessings to all as we stand on the laws of God,

It's Time For Change

Jeremiah 18:11-23
    “Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good.”
12 And they said, “That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart.”
13 Therefore thus says the Lord:
“Ask now among the Gentiles,
Who has heard such things?
The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.
14 Will a man leave the snow water of Lebanon,
Which comes from the rock of the field?
Will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters?
15 “Because My people have forgotten Me,
They have burned incense to worthless idols.
And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways,
From the ancient paths,
To walk in pathways and not on a highway,
16 To make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing;
Everyone who passes by it will be astonished
And shake his head.
17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy;
I will show them the back and not the face
In the day of their calamity.”
18 Then they said, “Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.”
19 Give heed to me, O Lord,
And listen to the voice of those who contend with me!
20 Shall evil be repaid for good?
For they have dug a pit for my life.
Remember that I stood before You
To speak good for them,
To turn away Your wrath from them.
21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine,
And pour out their blood
By the force of the sword;
Let their wives become widows
And bereaved of their children.
Let their men be put to death,
Their young men be slain
By the sword in battle.
22 Let a cry be heard from their houses,
When You bring a troop suddenly upon them;
For they have dug a pit to take me,
And hidden snares for my feet.
23 Yet, Lord, You know all their counsel
Which is against me, to slay me.
Provide no atonement for their iniquity,
Nor blot out their sin from Your sight;
But let them be overthrown before You.
Deal thus with them
In the time of Your anger.

God's favorite people and our leaders did a very bad thing, when asked to give up their idols and turn from their wicked ways and didn't.  If this doesn't prove to us that our world lies under the sway of satan, then what would?  Our words and actions determine our future through the eyes of God.  He also states in (Exodus 20:5-6)  For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments."  Jeremiah the prophet, after learning of the plots and schemes against his life.  Spoke words to God laying down judgment and action to take his people out.  We must understand that by keeping our focus on the world, we will also experience these attacks from God if not biblically trained in how to intercept them even stop them.  God's thoughts and ways are extremely higher than ours.  He asks, that righteousness and justice be administered into our lands.  He also tells, that the Spirit inside of us will join forces with us to help in achieving these commands.  God speaks in verse 14, will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters?  We cannot believe that God will interact with our selfish, demanding ways, when He commands ways that we must embrace.  God is love, sincere love. He also instructs that we represent Him in this way.  We are to be exchanging loving thoughts and actions with one another in all we do.  God says in verse 15, "they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways, from the ancient paths, to walk in pathways and not on a highway."  We've let satan design our minds, actions, and world.  So we now beat our own paths to and fro in confusion, not observing the ancient highways some of our ancestors took to be in God's company and to change His world.  Our world is in chaos, and all havoc has broken loose from our White House on down.  It's time for change.

(2 Corinthians 5:4-5)  For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

Blessings to all as we let God make that change,

Vincent Young, Christian Analyst.
